Third Age Foundation honoured at Meath County Council awards ceremony

The Third Age Foundation recently received a Meath County Council People in the Community Award for its IT initiatives. Meath County Council and Meath Local Sports Partnership recognise the role played by many individuals and groups in helping to create a strong and vibrant community.  By participating fully in their community, these people not only help in creating a better place but their efforts also encourage and benefit others.

In the 2007 awards, announced in November 2007 at Trim Castle Hotel, the work that Third Age Foundation undertakes through the internet café and the IT classes for older people was recognised when receiving an award in the IT section. Read more about the technology initiatives on our web site.

The Third Age Foundation also won a special merit award for all the activities undertaken in relation to community development and received further commendations for its work in the community. Mary Nally, CEO of the Third Age Foundation received a personal award for her overall contribution during the year.
