Bright Future ahead for Fáilte Isteach: 2010 Arthur Guinness Fund Awardee Guinness invested in Ireland's future by backing people with a "business and a social heart" and Fáilte Isteach was officially announced as one of the ten Arthur Guinness Fund awardees 2010 at a special awards ceremony, which was held in Guinness Storehouse. Mary Nally, Founder of Fáilte Isteach commented, "The organisation has dramatically improved the quality of life for migrants who had been struggling with the kind of day to day things we take for granted, such as asking for directions, helping their children with homework, or explaining symptoms to the doctor. The project has been a challenge, but a challenge that has been well worth embracing. Funding from the Arthur Guinness Fund will go towards the further expansion of this project around the country." |

Third Age Foundation honoured at Meath County Council awards ceremony |

The Third Age Foundation recently received a Meath County Council People in the Community Award for its IT initiatives. Meath County Council and Meath Local Sports Partnership recognise the role played by many individuals and groups in helping to create a strong and vibrant community. By participating fully in their community, these people not only help in creating a better place but their efforts also encourage and benefit others.
